Meet Us
Robert Vecsi earned his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 at the College of Staten Island, earning this College's Award for Highest Academic Honors in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, he immediately began gaining valuable experience in the field of orthopedics with an emphasis in manual therapy.
With more than 22 years of hands-on experience under his belt, Robert opened his boutique P.T. studio 13 years ago on 5th Avenue. "Working at other practices, I would be able to spend 15 or 20 minutes maximum of direct patient-therapist contact. I saw they became frustrated by the limited interaction, and they didn't respond well being passed off to an aide or assistant. New Yorkers deserve, and demand, more" said Robert. "My patients were getting better, but they've always felt they weren't getting the attention they expected from their P.T." With a determination to improve the patient experience and improve outcomes, Robert established his 60 minute, one-on-one practice in 2009.
Robert specializes in a variety of orthopedic injuries and especially enjoys rehabilitating athletes and spinal injuries. His post-graduate coursework at the University of St. Augustine focused on spinal assessment and manipulation as well as sport-specific and functional training. Robert was accredited by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2001.
Robert is an avid cyclist, runner, and cross trainer, which gives him added perspective when treating clients.
